givesmehope: Half a year ago, my boyfriend died in a car accident. On the date of our would-be 2 year anniversary, my girlfriends showed up at my door dressed as men—complete with ties and fake mustaches—and took me out on a romantic supper as my “boyfriends.” Their love and support in my dark time of grief GMH.

givesmehope: Last year, my teacher told us about a student of hers whose dad was working as a doorman in the World Trade Center during 9/11. Instead of leaving when the plane hit, he stayed behind and ushered everyone out as calmly as he could. The building collapsed on him. He and the other heroes of 9/11 GMH. Remembering 9/11. Remembering those days.
